Braun Heavy/Classic TRUNCATED 22° Wire Baskets
Braun wire baskets have a single strand wire which is woven and welded into a pattern of vertical and horizontal spirals. The vertical ribs are contained and reinforced by horizontal ribs located on the outside of the basket. This ensures maximum strength when inserting the tree into the basket, and for handling. The high grade wire used in Braun baskets results in stronger welds and more malleability for crimping without breakage.
Braun works closely with tree spade manufacturers to ensure that their baskets have the best fit on the spades. This means that Braun baskets will require fewer crimps to tighten the wire, saving time and effort.
The Heavy wire basket is the BEST that Braun offers. The heavy gauge wire used on these baskets will allow the grower and landscaper to move the B&B tree using almost any method, including chains. They are also the best choice for trees that will be handled multiple times.
Braun Standard/Custom TRUNCATED 22° Wire Baskets
Rigorous field tests and years of use have proven the reliability of the more economical Standard wire baskets.
These baskets still use the continuous wire construction, and the high grade malleable wire chosen for the Standard baskets offers the same advantages as the heavy baskets.
Please note that the Standard weight baskets are comparable to other manufacturers’ “regular” weight baskets.
